How often do you change your chain tensioner?

I always leave it in gear, out of habit mostly. The E-brake in mine sort of...uhhh...marginally works. lol

Today driving from work, i though i noticed excessive ticking sound.
      Here's a video of it:

Would you say that it is normal? Loud lifters? Injectors?
      Or am i just paranoid?

It does have that "diesley" clatter, but it also sounds like it stays at a more or less constant pitch when RPM increases, which a failing tensioner should not do. Perhaps break out the mechanics stethoscope and really locate the source of the noise?

Finally acquired a mechanics stethoscope; here's my findings.
There is louder noise(taping) coming from 3 &4 injector area and grinding noise(diesely) noise from chain area.

What can it be besides the chain tensioner? I just replaced it a few thousands miles ago.

Could be the chain rubbing metal somewhere. Maybe you should pop the valve cover off, to check if your cam gears are pointy and to see if the bolts holding them to the cams are centered in the "window."
