    Oil seals

Hi r3v, I will be repleacing the engine and transmission seals on my 1991 318is. Are aftermarket brands really good? I'm asking cause brands like CRP, ELRING, DPH and SKF are cheaper than OEM. Any thought on these brands. Thanks.

CRP, Elring and SKF are fine and may have been original suppliers. I know nothing of DPH.

Based on my experiences with CRP radiator and vacuum hoses, I would stay away from them. Their vacuum hoses split after like 3 months.

I would agree on CRP rubber lines, their vac lines are terrible. However, the few other CRP things I have used have been fine. But if there is one reputable vote against them skip it if possible.

I also was looking through some parts and found out that the injector o-rings and other misc seals were DPH, so in my experience they have worked fine.
