cold idle circuit logic

Can someone define the cold start idle circuit on the M42? What inputs are there?
I don't get a reply when I try the stomp test FWIW. I'd welcome the temp sensors component locations. My other BMWs have s14, M30, m20B25 and a carburetor on M10.

As far as I am aware, the cold start run mode uses the AFM and throttle potentiometer as the load inputs, ignoring the O2 sensor. Once the coolant temp sensor reports a certain temperature, the ECU will start using O2 sensor feedback. It will usually just run the mixture a bit rich, and maybe hold the engine speed ~100RPM higher than normal until things warm up enough.
