    M40 just rebuilt

So I have a m40b16 and my mechanic did a awesome job replacing the camshaft after it broke and he put a bigger one in so I deffinatly feel the performance differnce but the idle makes the car shake should I keep it or change it back to oem

Sometimes the way a can opens and closes the valves and the overlap of such makes for a rough idle. More info on the cam would be necessary to say for sure of course, it could be a timing issue.

That said, the M40 is a dog stock and a cam would be one of the best ways to wake it up.

I'm probably going to keep it but does it effect gas mileage also do m40's naturally tap like the m20 because I can hear the lightest lightest tap sometimes or maybe it's just the sound stuck in my head
