    Unplug ICV?

What should the car do if I have a bad ICV and I unplug it? The idle varies a little bit occasionally with it plugged it and if I unplug it the car idles at 1k-ish perfectly with no variation. Bad ICV or is it something else?
    Thanks.

Sounds like it is dirty. Clean it out with some rubbing alcohol.

Well, if the big tube that comes out of the intake accordion goes to the ICV then I think I found my issue - it doesn't change idle when sprayed with starting fluid but I'm fairly sure the cracked tube is allowing unmetered air in regardless - I could be wrong.

I'm assuming I can run a tube directly from the intake accordion to the bottom of the ICV and leave the cracked tube in place to continue running coolant through the bottom until I have the time to do the full intake manifold mess cleanup.

Yeah, you can run a tube straight over. I do because the stock molded rubber hoses are crap and just break open causing vacuum leaks. Same goes for the PCV hose from the valve cover.

Thank you :) I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see what happens. The idle issue is pretty intermittent so it's not a real 'issue' yet. :)
