Blocked off port on intake tube: what goes here?

    Hello all,

In an effort to get my e30 on the road I ordered a new intake tube to replace the cracked/taped/ghetto one on the car. There are two ports on the intake tube; the back one closest to the throttle body has been blocked (taped) off. What is supposed to go here? I will upload a pic once I am near the car. Thank

One goes to crankcase vent. The other goes to Idle control valve

Not so on every car. All of mine utilize only one of the two openings on the intake boot (the other is plugged). Of course, some cars do not have that barbed fitting on the TB, so in that case they use both ports.

The crank vent off of the valve cover goes to a barbed fitting on the throttle body, and the idle control valve hose goes to one of the two openings on the tube. Normally there is a block off plug included in a new intake boot.
