Read this, went to to my car at 2 AM, "yup it's plugged in." Unplugged it and it seems to idle a bit smoother now. Gonna have to drive it for a while to see how big of a difference it makes.

I've never heard of this wire till just now and you guys saved me a lot of trouble. Seriously, thank you.

Results in starting and rough running issues, especially with restarts after the engine has been run for a while/warmed up.

What exactly happens with it connected? I only had my engine running for a minute or so with it connected but I didn't notice anything different

Unplug it. It is for m42's that don't have a catalytic converter.

Was replacing the blower fan and noticed this wire was unplugged. I connected it back and it didn't seem to make any difference. So now I'm wondering what its for. See attached pic.
