m42 idle problem when cold

my check lights on, when my car cold(first start of the day) it idles rough and wants to die, I cant give it gas cause itll die. I have to let it sit like that for a minute and then it runs fine.....whats deal? also after itll start up just fine after that.......wtf

Check your coolant temp sender for the DME. This tells the ECU how warm the engine is and adjusts the fuel air ratio to compensate for a cold engine.

check relays, ignition coils...if you need cheap ignition coils I have spare.
