    M42 Head Gasket

I might possibly have to replace my head gasket in the very near future, does anybody have experience what what items are a for sure need replacing besides the gaskets, head bolts, and other items that can be replaced at the same time such as thermostat and water pump? What sensors are best to replace while doing this repair?

Already planning to put in mustang injectors while at it, and the timing chain has been recently replaced by PO.

Stick with the stock injectors. There is no benefit to using other ones. Maybe see about getting the stock ones cleaned, but again, all you will do is mess up your gas mileage by using different injectors since the ECU is tuned for the stock ones.

What condition is your timing case in? It might be a good idea to replace the chain, guides, tensioner, etc. Thermostat and water pump are also probably good ones to do while in there. As for sensors, if they are still working I'd just leave them alone.

I don't have any rattle or any problem other than the over heating but once I'm in there I'll actually be able to see the condition the timing parts are in.

I have access to an ultrasonic cleaner, would that be most efficient for cleaning the fuel injectors?
