Recently got a M42 and rebuilt it with all new rings , bearings , and all new gaskets and such . My question is now the engine is done , auto trans was swapped out for a Getrag 5 speed can I remove the auto trans harness wiring from the main harness without any troubles ?? Thanks Jeff

If the car's an E30, I think all you have to do is jumper the neutral/park safety switch.
But look at the etm's at www.wedophones.com and see- between the M20 E30 and the
early E36 with M42's, I think that will give you a pretty good idea of how it works..
