    Bad Noise

So there is some bad noise comeing from the engine bay. Long story short, I was taking a long trip and the v belt on the alternator broke. I was in the middle of nowhere. Got one, got a ride to my e30 and threw it on and started driving it back home (3.5 hours highway driving). About an hour in to the trip home I heard this noise. It was loud. I drove slowly because it wasn't as loud at lower RPMs. then it would get louder. Then over time the noise would go away altogether. Then all of the sudden it would come back. This was all while driving the same speed on the highway. Not changing anything in terms of how I was driving. I got home at about 4am. So then today I drove it to get gas. No noise. I pushed it a bit and it came back. Parked it. Started it to make this video you see and the noise was there. Let it run for a bit at idle while I went to get my camera and the noise went away. Gave it some gas and it came back.
Here is the video, its fairly close to the sound in real life.
    Thanks

I think your timing chain is doing a chainsaw job on the inside of your timing case.

Or something fell into the alternator and is buzzing around...
