i have a 91 318is e30 and when i hold down the clutch pedal it makes a winning and screech noise what could that be. please help as this is my daily diver and want to get it fixed asap. thank you and help would be helpful.

Time for a new release bearing! -
That's the sound of the car saying you need to give it money. The TOB is bad, might as well change associated parts when you drop the transmission, pilot bearing, pressure plate and clutch. Seals if you think it's necessary. Inspect the flywheel and resurface/replace. Refresh the bushings for the shifter linkage and the tranny mounts. Have fun.Comment
