New CPS crank but no start

I recently changed my CPS and the car only cranks but doesn't start. I spaced the CPS 1mm away from the crank like stated in the Bently. I haven't had time to check the CPS. The car was working and running before, although a little poorly. The CPS wire was starting to come apart.

Any suggestions on what else to look for. I get a engine code of 1444 which is everything normal.

The fuel pump doesn't prime when I turn on the key. Is it the CPS or the fuel pump relay. I have a brand new pump so i know it's good.

Do you have power to your fuel pump?

The fuel pump doesn't always prime when you turn the key - something I learned.

I would go through methodically - make sure you are getting spark. Pull out the plugs and ground them to your strut housing and crank it. Also make sure you haven't swapped the cam and crank position sensors where they plug into the harness box.
