M42 with MarkD chip

Has anybody bought and installed the 91 or 93 MarkD chip on their M42?
What results are you seeing on a dyno? Or at least a butt dyno?
Any side effects noticed? Fuel economy? Idle?
If installing this, would a tune be necessary afterwards?

Clearly thinking about doing this on my ride, but want to know what people are getting from it already first.

The chip is a tune so no you do not need to tune the tune

It makes more power

It uses less fuel (at least in my experience) cause you don't have to flog the piss out of it all the time to move

No negative side effects

not to hijack, but what exact part number for the 19# 4 pintle injectors?
Mustang? How much trouble to swap out? Did your mileage change at all?

And yes my mpg’s dropped i go through a tank of gas once a week about instead of a tank every week and half but I don’t care cause the car is so much fun to drive now. Throttle response is amazing and it just moves out

Nope bone stock engine. All ive done is cleaned up intake mess, cooling system and timing chain/guides with the chip and injectors. Eventually i’ll add a single mass flywheel.

I *really* wanna pull the trigger on those injectors but I wonder how much of those improvements are from moving to dirty/clogged injectors to new ones?

Unless paired with a chip to utilize them you wont feel much difference. 4 pintle is better then one. You get better atomization of the fuel molecules which results is a more efficient burn which gives better power and throttle response. Them in and of them selves though wont really do much you need a chip to push it the extra mile. And if you get an sssquid tune. He will make the chip to utilize the 4 pintles where as others are an off the shelf tune unless you get in contact and tell them.

I have the same chip with 19lb injectors.

What mpg do you get now compared to what you had before? Mine's pretty low and I'm trying to see if the chip is the culprit.

But I do agree, it is way more fun to drive this car with a chip.

I think its both. It has dropped but i dont care.
