New M42 Fuel pump motor connector issues

Im replacing fuel pump motor. Is there a special connector i need to use for new pump? I tried soldering but its not going so well. It’s probably a bad idea too.
    Any help would be appreciated.

New pump is the same, just different positive/negative prongs

I haven't seen that specific connector type before on a replacement fuel pump. However, I do think soldering is your best bet, worst case, solder the female spade connectors to the fuel pump.

When I swapped in a Walbro 255LPH pump I had the same issue. It was resolved by soldering the wires to the terminals. It isn't a high-vibration location, and the wires were soldered to the original spade connectors anyway. 6 years in and still going strong.
