Will, It's Ryan you need to shut up and listen to these guys. They know what they are talking about. Do as they say and SEARCH it's not that hard there are hundreds of sites devoted to swapping. As for the S52 in your car your a long ways away from being able to do that. Try E3024v.com. .....I'm sorry guys he is pretty new to BMW's. -

Once again like everyone has said you make no sense. Read my previous post again. After that read it again, and again and again.
If you think that statement contradicts itself please tell me how. Its pretty straight forward and its only 3 sentences long.
Motion to ban anyone? :hitler:Leave a comment:

My boss sets the price, he was only charging $60 when I started here and didn't update until last year. Keep in mind this is NH though, there are a lot of broke yankees who don't understand why you should replace calipers in pairs and such...Same here, I never posted a single question about swapping in the big block, and I completed it working two Saturdays in a row. My 70k S52 conversion cost me $3500 (but good luck pulling that off being an outsider to the automotive industry!).
Fidhle, you dont charge enough. :)
+1 on being inside the industry! My swap cost around $3200 but the motor/tranny was bought from a friend and all my parts where wholesale. It's a sub-100k S50 w/ ZF and UUC Stage II/M5 Clutch combo, I'd hate to think what that should have really cost...Leave a comment:

I don't understand this, you claimed to have done an m52 swap. Either way (obd1 or 2) you have already performed this swap. The only difference to the entire thing is the internals. You do what you did the last time, but you use a block with a different guts.Leave a comment:

i know, but 1500 SHOULD be enough for parts and extra shit.
i expect to pay around 4-5 thousand total for the swap.Leave a comment:

waaaaaait a minute!!!! is this Mr.WatsonSilver????
$1500 youre lucky to swap a non vanos m50. you need to triple your budget at the minimum to get any kind of motor that starts with S. i spent close to $4000 just swapping a m52 in, and i didnt even get into the motor.Leave a comment:
