A mustang pos is not camparable. Your buddy needs to find new tires and widder wheels. You really need to do some research. This isnt that hard.Leave a comment:

ive driven one of my friends 91' 5.0 mustang's...i think it's comparable.
his will kill tires in 4th gear, dry pavement, with a 3:55 rear end.
so i have an idea of what im getting into power wise, just not money/time wise.
i dont think it will be as mean as my buddy's mustang, but i'd like to see some traction problems in 4th gear, thats my least expectations.
ive already got the tranny and drive shaft.
i think all that remains is wiring/hardness'es, motor, rear end (will the one of out a 98 m3 work?), mounts, brake booster(m42 one has clearance issue's BUT i read somewhere you shave the intake mani to make the stock work??)
i think thats it?
besides brake up grades, etc..Leave a comment:

Ill agree with you there. There is a good amount of info on this board, its a good resource, but damn.. Way too much of this kind of bs.
When these guys come to the boards looking for handouts, just ignore it. You're spoiling him by feeding into it. Back when we swapped my Z, there was no forums. We didnt sit on the computer like fucking nerds. We just did it.. Too much talk around here, not enough do!
Granted, im on the internet alot now, due to having a wife and a newborn at home. But you guys that are younger.. Sometimes I wonder, shouldnt you be chasing waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, wrenching, and partying? Maybe you guys are sweet or something, idk..Leave a comment:

/\ +1 and with some upgrades can be nice little track car. I have everything stripped out of my car and some light upgrades to the motor. My car is scary in the rain if you arnt carfull about it hell even on dry pavment it can try and get around you.Leave a comment:

i contradict that, i've driven a e36 m3 they aren't as fast as people play them off to be, i think it'd make one hell of a car to play with.
and as ive already explained to ryan, i have s52 parts for a swap readily availible, i havent bought them yet, but there not going any where anytime soon, and i think i can get them for cheaper than a m52 i'm pretty sure i can atleast...Leave a comment:

E30tech is the turbo forum, r3v is the swap forum. Just go with an M50 or M52, it will be cheaper to source (I could probably get you a decent M52 for under a grand) and won't be overkill. An S52 E30 will be much more car then you can handle.Leave a comment:

i dont plan on swapping soon, but the project is underway never the less.
it's what i have my sights set on at least, ive seen a m50 power car...
i liked, so im going with a s52, for now...thats the idea atleast
and from what i understand, the cheapest motor, the m50, are the most realible of the bunch, so i'm not sure which is the "best" motor for me, but since my budget is low, its probably going to be whatever i can find cheap, used, or wrecked.
yup, and again, sry for "not searching"Leave a comment:

Will, It's Ryan you need to shut up and listen to these guys. They know what they are talking about. Do as they say and SEARCH it's not that hard there are hundreds of sites devoted to swapping. As for the S52 in your car your a long ways away from being able to do that. Try E3024v.com. .....I'm sorry guys he is pretty new to BMW's.
as i already have
e30tech ftwLeave a comment:

Just to add my 2 cents a lightweight sach e30 m3 stage 2 race pressure plate stage 2 e30 m3 sintered kevlar clutch alone will cost you 1200.Leave a comment:
