    O2 Sensor Trouble.

So recently I've been looking for a O2 sensor for my '91 BMW E30 318ic. I recently bought a slew of parts of which one was a 4 Wire O2 Sensor, Alas when it arrived I found my AFM and current O2 Sensor are 5 Wire, and I cannot seem to find a sensor that is compatible. All that I seem to be finding are 4 wires and the few 5 wires i find don't look the same as what I currently have. If anyone has any idea where I could find the correct sensor I'd appreciate it.

What? The oxygen sensor on the car is a 4 wire, and has a similar plug to the AFM, but isn't near it.

The connector is in the engine bay on the passenger side, possibly still below the battery tray, and it has 4 terminals. If the original connector on the car side of the loom still exists you can get a direct fitment sensor with the correct plug from any reputable vendor, otherwise you can splice in just as I suspect that the current sensor has been installed.

The only way you'd get a 5- wire sensor is if you had an AFM and post- 95 318ti electronics swap done.

Meter your current sensor- is pin 5 just tied to case ground?
