    Need help with hoses

Hi everyone, I've looked almost everywhere for a real life diagram of the e30 m42 hoses but they're all drawings and some things are just not lining up. Could you tell me how I can set it up correctly? I want to do a "mess under the intake delete eventually but right now I just want to fix the stalling. P.S. I know I need knew hoses lol Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk

Not sure how you could misinterpret the diagram in the MITU thread, but on just the vacuum side you want IACV to intake boot, and TB nipple to VC PCV port.

Yeah, that connection from the TB nipple to the intake boot is a first for me lol. There is usually a plug in that boot hole. What is the valve cover outlet connected to?

There are also no clamps on the intake boot.

Yeah sorry I'm new to this lol thanks for your help though. I was able to find the culprit for the rough idle, the Idle Air Control Valve bottom hose was broken so I had to replace that. I followed the path and connected it to the intake boot. Then I connected the throttle body nipple to the valve cover nipple. Works perfectly now! P.S. Yeah I took off brackets yesterday while putting everything together to display it for picture. I also put the nipple cap on the second hole in the intake boot. And I know I still need to replace hoses. Would you recommend silicone hoses instead of oem BMW ones? Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk

Yeah I fixed it lol I thought someone had previously covered it, but I guess the m42 doesn't need it. And I just connected now the valve cover outlet port to the throttle body port. Sent from my SM-G981U1 using Tapatalk

You can use silicone, but there's no need. Either use actual vacuum line or reinforced coolant line (typically has green fibers on the cut ends) of the right size. If the rubber lines you find are slightly too small, dipping the ends in very hot water, and/or using some type of lubricant will normally make them fit.

If you want to do the coolant lines under the intake you will need to chop up what you currently have to mock up the right end sizes/routing and then take that to a friendly auto parts stpre to have them get something that can be cut to work without a splice.
