New Accelerator cable. How much play should it have?

I assume it should not be extremely tight?

Just a little slop, the cable should not be taught, the throttle is supposed to sit on its stop

One final check...After adjustment to the new cable let someone floor it and you look at the butterfly and make sure it opens 100%.

Too much cable slack or something behind your pedal will prevent it from opening the throttle 100% i guess.
