Auto Tranny Bushings on a Manual Car???

Shot in the dark here, but i have IE poly tranny mounts in my '89is.

Would rather get rid of some of the extra vibrations it has caused. I had purchased new OEM bushings for my old Auto '87is and never installed them.

I know the part numbers are different, but thought maybe there's a chance they would work.

If anyone has insight on this, it would be much appreciated before i get dirty :)

    TIA

Confirmation from one BMW mech that they won't work.

Still waiting to hear if anyone has "made" them work. hehe

click on my m42 how to link in my sig to see some pics on how to replace the trany seals whall your at it..., also if anything run poly engine mounts and run rubber trany mounts to help with the vibration and still keep the stiffness.
