Heavy clutch after stage 2 install. Slave cylinder options?

    Hi all,

With my m52 swap I also swapped from a g240 to a g260. The slave is the one that came with the 260. My clutch is quite heavy, perhaps a bit too heavy. Are there options that will give more leverage and a lighter clutch? Have I made my bed and now need to sleep in it?

I know there are different slave options for the ZF320 transmission (I'm actually testing one out this weekend with my Spec Stage 3+ clutch & pressure plate.)

Not sure if the G260 has similar interchangeability.

What slave cyl part number do you have on there now?

RealOEM shows that as a 20.64mm diameter.

Something like the E34 slave "21521157346" looks externally the same in pictures but is a 22.2mm diameter.

Might work, but I've never personally tried this combination.
For an aftermarket unit under $100 seems like it's worthwhile to attempt IMO.

        EDIT:
I do see them both listed under the 318is, adds some credence to my initial thoughts.

Follow up: I finally installed the output/slave cylinder from the e34 dual mass clutch. That upped the bore from 20.64 to 22.2. Straight bolt on mod, same exact outside dimensions.

The effect is enormous. What was underivable, nearly, and causing strains on my kneecap tendons, is now perfect. The clutch is still heavier than stock, but perfectly drivable. If your "stage 2" clutch is really heavy, this mod will work wonderfully. The car is now a thrill to drive.

          Many thanks again, Panici.
