    IX auto to 5spd swap????

Wondering what I would need. I have the opportunity to pick up an alpine white plastic bumper 2 door IX (drool)

...But it auto. Just trying to get a feel for what I would need and if I definitely need a trans from another IX or if I can use a regular getrag or base model trans.

    Also drishaft and whatnot too.

    TIA

you need a transmission, clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate, shifter rod, selector, shifter carrier, pedal assembly (airbag specific! swap the pedals if you have an airbag car, change the whole box if non-airbag), clutch master/slave, clutch lines, some minor wiring and a bit of time.

all driveshafts and mounts are the same. if you want more detail, talk to applecran as he just did one and I did mine several years ago so I'm a bit fuzzy - not sure if he posts here but he's on E30tech.

Thanks for the input. Just wanted to know if the trans and driveshaft were the same as any other e30

It shouldn't be that complicated then.

      Thanks again

the trans and driveshafts are no tthe same as any E30, no. however, you don't need to change any of the driveshafts on the ix, they are the same between the auto and manual.
