Well this is more of a rant, bad things only seem to happen to me for some reason :(
About a week ago my CSB separated from the main rubber, i do drive the car pretty hard, nothing abusive like a clutch dump but a lot of hard launches and i know that wears it prematurely....that said....
Ive done the job about a dozen times before, my car, previous car, and others as a job so i know how to do it right;learned everything i know from veterans so its not like its something you can overlook.
So i lower the exhaust, undo the 3 bolts and nuts to the guibo/driveshaft, the 4 on the diff input flange, then the center support and drop the whole driveshaft out.
I use a puller to remove the CSB like normal, put the other one on, now bear in mind the dust shield is missing but it has never been on, so im pretty much going to rule that out as the issue; put a new CSB on (meyle like the last) and put the driveshaft back together. It could not be put on incorrectly since its a rebuilt and sericable driveshaft with arrows indictating lineup (again id like to think im a pro at doing this since ive R&R'd many driveshafts over the past few years) and ive always paid attention to that, even marked it myself before i saw the arrows on the other side.
So i put the driveshaft on, preload the CSB like i always have, tigthen down the clamping sleeve, all hardware torqued down properly...but then it vibrates hard from 4-15 MPH, and i can feel it in the CSB area of the tunnel.
It really pisses me off because this kind of stuff always happens to me, my only other explanation is that i drove the car about 100 miles with a ripped CSB and it destroyed the u joint, when i had the driveshaft off it was like the rear one, tight with no play like it was when it was new. Other than those MPH it vibrates at, its fine.
Any insight would be appreciated, im at a loss for what could be wrong, i did everything right AGAIN and dont know what im going to do. I simply dont have the time or money to be throwing at this stuff anymore :???:
Thanks
