    325iX tranny in a 2wd car?

Dumb queston and I'm sure the answer is "no", but

is the iX tranny compatable in an 325i?

how about the pedal box? rear drive shaft? cross bracket?

In case you can't guess, I have a line up on an iX parts car and would like to do a five-speed swap into my 89

the transmission has the mounting holes for the RWD bracket and the same output shaft pattern. also has the same shifter attachment point. But the ix doesn't have a transmission mount, the transfercase is what holds it to the car. the rear driveshaft is also shorter and one peice, no CSB.

pedals are exactly the same, but make sure you get airbag/non airbag pedals. and for the love of god if you have an airbag car, don't bother trying to swap pedal boxes, just swap the pedals!
