4.10 Differential Help!!

So I got a 4.10 differential from a local recycler today. He says its a 4.10, the tag says its 4.10 4411, there is no "s" on the tag that I can see. Both sides spin the same way when I turn it (this is why he said its a LSD). Is there any other way to make sure its LSD?? I have read a bunch of posts, but I just wanna make sure before I swap it. Also its my understanding it could be an iX dif. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

i dont think ix's got the 4.10. if they both turn forward at the same time then it should be a lsd. see if you can keep one from turning while turning the other, if you can its not a lsd. my old open diff sometimes locked, so if it isn't stamped S on the tag or on the bottom, then it isn't.

and its just on the bottom a big S, probably 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide

Mine has a P stamped on the top in white.
