tranny mounts: AKG 75D are too much for me, suggestions?

so currently the car is pretty much 75D from A-Z (motor, tranny, diff cover, subframe, rear trailing arms, CABs). i drove the car yesterday for the first time without a carpet and the noise from the tranny is too much for a DD/auto-x car.

what are my options for the tranny bushings? i saw these from AKG, alot more $$, anyone try them. any other options out there?

Get new OEM ones from the dealer. The rubber is stiff enough for a DD/Auto-X, and you won't have all of the horrible vibration from solid/urethane ones. You're not going to get any flex there anyhow, especially when you have the urethane everywhere else.

      My recommendation, from experience.

A DD with no interior is going to be loud, period. Urethane bushings are just going to make that a lot worse. In this case I'd go back to OE motor, trans, and diff mount/bushing or learn to live with the noise.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I think some people actually prefer to go with very stiff mounts everywhere but the trans. Since the mounting ears on the back of the trans are somewhat of a weak spot, the stock mounts will tear before the ears break, and the stiff motor mounts will hold the trans in place pretty well for shifting. Just throwing that out there... Since I know first hand how much it sucks to break the mounting ear off of a perfectly good trans.
