i drive shaft in an eta???

[UPDATE] i got the drive but it doesnt seem to match. the replacement drive shafts bolt do not line up with the trans (guibo is way smaller), it also has a metal sleeve around it.
did the guy even sell me a shaft off an 325is?

Replacement on the left, original on the right

    [ORIGINAL POST]

i know this may have been asked before but i didnt find it, sorry.

The drive shaft in my 87 325 is dead and i found one off a 87 325is, both manuals.

    Would this work??

    Yes.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If it's the bigger size guibo it's an Eta driveshaft that was only offered in one year (87?). You can run it without that balancer thing but if the flange is bigger it will not work of course.

whats the year of the original and the year of the replacement? Etas should have for the most part a small guibo. there is larger ones and they are obviously larger. its not a small difference

You can use that drive shaft by changing the output flange on the transmission.
