will the e30 m3 tranmission work with an m20b27

My dad said he can get his hands on an 89 m3 transmission for a good deal. I want to know will it work on my m20b27 or an m20b25?

You would need to get the bell housing from a 1982 528e and all the shifter parts from an M3 to make it work since that trans has removable bell housings. You're better off with a 325 tranny though since they are smoother shifting and you don't need the extra power handling.

Common sense- It's the new 'gifted'

Well if you're getting a "good deal" for that, then get it.
Then hold onto it until someone really needs an M3 tranny and sell it for profit.
