    Trans/Driveshaft Problem!!!

    Whenever im on the ground, the trans spins freely but the driveshaft stay stationary and there is a metal on metal clinking. When the car is in the air, the rear tires seem to spin barely. What Could this be please help thanks!!!

    It sounds like a bad diff but I can be wrong.

        If the drive shaft doesn't turn when the transmission is in gear and the clutch is engaged there is a problem between the drive shaft and engine. Unless the guibo is missing that means a bad transmission or a bad clutch on a car with a manual transmission, or just the transmission if an automatic.
        The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

            If the drive shaft doesn't turn, then yes.
            The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

              it looks like u are looking for a new tranny had the same problem at work last week but with a automatic tranny but its the same principle.
