    no arrows on guibo, wtf?

installed, & pre-loaded new ds(came with new guibo, new csb), engine mnts, trans mnts, diff bushing, still have vibration at hard accel, mostly in 2nd, goes away when clutch is engaged, goes away at higher cruising speeds.... checked everything out, looks good, tight, etc, HOWEVER, the guibo does not have the arrows on it for bolt directions, bolts are in alternating pattern, oriented the same as the old one w arrows... i'm going to start by replacing it with a oe from pelican, presumably w arrows... anyone else have similar experience with guibos being unmarked?

The bolt direction on the guibo won't cause the vibration you describe. A vibration from under the car that is worse with hard acceleration is the drive shaft/CSB.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      arrows for flange location?

Thanks jim for your response. I twisted my thoughts while writing that post, shouldnt there be arrows indicating where the flanges should be located?

Have you checked the run out on the tranny flange and centering pin?

I did replace the trans output seal... how do you check the runout?
The car was fine until I swapped the rebuilt ds in out of another car I had... I guess I'll just pull it out and return it for another... It has one yr warr...

Not to threadjack, but which way should bolts face with the arrows? That is, does the bolt head rest against the fat side of the arrow with the nut on the pointed side?....or is it the other way around?

By using a clamp on dial indicator

Arrow points to flange. The bolts press fit in the flange so I would not recommend putting the head side in the guibo.

                  put it to rest...

so, swapped the old ds back into the car, cracked guibo, knotchy rear u-joint and some-what loose csb, and it works great... which means that a "rebuilt" ds that looks good to the naked eye, with the exception of having the indicator arrows ground off the new bmw guibo, was totally f'd up. The guy says he'll give me my money back for it,and I think he will. Now, where can I get a decent rebuilt cause my old one ain't gonna last long. Thanks for the input everyone.

Get a rebuilt drive shaft from DriveLine Service (http://www.driveshafts.com/)
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
