    Autozone oil for LSD?

Is there any civilian-grade Autozone/ORiley's diff oil that will work OK in an E30 LSD? I really don't want to take the time and cost to order racing-grade oil by mail for my daily driver.

    Any input is appreciated.

Any quality 75w90 gear lube with friction modifiers will work fine.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

OK, but how can you tell on bubba-grade gear oil whether it has friction modifier? I know firsthand how grabby the diff gets when you run non-friction-modifier oil.

You can get the modifier in a squeeze bottle, add as much as you like

I have Royal Purple in one LSD and Lucas in the other. I wouldn't buy Royal Purple again just because of the price.

and i'm assuming this applies to any getrag?

or should different ones take different tranny fluids?

The reason I ask is because we're gonna try and have a tranny day on three e30s and we're thinking of just buying a big jug to save money.

Well, this thread is about differentials BUT most Getrag transmissions take 75w90 gear oil too. There are some that take ATF and will have a green label on them saying so.
