pretty sure they all came with atf from the factory?

if the 75w90 saids LSD on the bottle, do we still need to add the modifier?
          example:
          http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...fier=1437_0_0_

          also MR 325
is 75w90 recommended for the g260? and is modifier needed?

The friction modifier doesn't need to be added, but you can.

75w90 or 80w90 is great for the 260 trans as well. No additives for the transmission.

Since we're on this subject, how much fluid does a 3.73 take? About to swap out a diff, figured I'd throw new fluid in there.

I used the Lucas stuff. It took about 1 1/2 bottles. Maybe 1 3/4.

I guess that's what it came in. I just grabbed 2 bottle just in case and used most of them. I didn't look at the volume.

Grab 2 quarts, as said you'll have a little left over. Same with the transmission.

I'm using Redline GL-5 without friction modifier in the 318i, no chatter. I used to run cheapo brand-X synthetic 75w-90 + Motorcraft friction modifier in the 2002, no chatter.

thanks, i ended up using redline 75w90 for the diff.
and redline mtl for the transmission

from what ive heard, you fill it up till its just about to the filler hole, and if it starts to pour out of the filler hole then it is full. I ended up using just a tiny bit under 2 quarts
