Actually, there are tiny vibrations sometimes in 1st gear, and that would be because we didn't get the CSB aligned perfectly on the drive shaft--perhaps we'll fix that later on.

So yeah, if you have vibrations in low gears at low rpm's, its your CSB. About a 1.5-2 hour job with two guys (one thats done it before, one that hasn't)
Yeah, I know 100% that it's the CSB, because the driveshaft is just fine. I got it from Alex, and he wouldn't sell something that wasn't good, after telling me it was. I trust him, and Jordan checked it out for me as well.

I can't wait to get it in, it'll be nice to not have to drive like a grandma again. I've been taking it easy on it, so as not to cause any uneeded damage to the driveshaft and flexdsic. It's kind of annoying to have the JimC chip power on tap and not be able to use it. :D

Yeah, with Zacky. Preload? He'd done a CSB swap before, and mentioned nothing of preloading it, so no, we didn't.

Well someone tell me what it is first!

I don't believe that Zack know about preloading. Next step, remove exhaust and heat sheilding to move the CSB 5mm

I think my flexdisc is the culprit, its really almost non existant anymore, just picked up a new one from BMA along with a CSB, need to try to find out what bolts and nuts it uses and I'd like to have it all new.

My vibrations now are like loud bangs and tacking of metal against each other, I hope something isn't fucked and it's only the flex/csb.

Ok, my CSB was totally disconnected from the clamp, jesus. The guibo plugs fell out of the guibo on every bolt that i opened, the thing is torn to shit

Finished installing the guibo and the CSB,

the CSB was a confusing mofo, it was really hard to get off the shaft but I did it with permits advice. Put it between two blocks of wood and hammer ed it out.

Its funny, this was a 22 hour job, i think i woke at 10am yesterday to start and its 8am now, stayed up overnight with a friend to finish it...biggest problem of all was not having the right tools, thats always the biggest problem and biggest setback so before any of u tries this, make sure u got the right stuff, for me it was a ujoint socket and circlip removal tool.

now i have a new problem though, seems like I didnt put the exhaust back on right because I have a major leak at where the headers meet the flanges, what did i possibly do wrong?

Circlip removal tool? You mean a flathead screwdriver?

Be sure you remembered to put the gasket back on...

To take it off you just need a flathead, but putting it on...I needed a "circlip-adding-thingy" and a flathead, it didn't want to seat right.

Oh shit, I don't remember seeing any gaskets where the headers met the exhaust, probably lost them or could be they were way on the exhaust, im guessing the first although the problem seems to have gone away, ill look into it on my new project

So at this point, after 22 hours, you've now fucked your driveshaft up because you didn't put the halves back together correctly, and have an exhaust leak because you bolted the exhaust back up with no gaskets?

I think you need to take your car to a shop next time something is wrong with it. Or at least be sure you know what you're doing before you attempt a job as major as replacing major driveline components. I truly mean no offense here, but seriously.
