Assuming it hasn't been swapped, go to realoem.com, plug in the last 7 or the car's VIN and see what it should have.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

its a 89 325i with a 5spd
would it be an lsd? or more than likely not?Comment

That car should have a 3.73LSD. There should be a tag on the right rear of the differential with ration and an S for limited slip.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
