Question About Changing the Stub Axles

I'll be switching from my current 3.73 to a 3.25 from an e28 here in the next couple of weeks. I've read that changing the rear cover and stub axles to the e30 medium case units will allow this swap. Should I be changing any seals as I swap the stub axles? The diff I bought is "leak free." When popping out the old axles, could the seals be damaged, or are they further internal? Thanks for some guidance. Also, what method have you used to pop these out?

I did this on my diff and didn't change the axle seals in the diff. The seals are very easy to change out with the diff in the car, so unless they leak now I'd just install it and see how it does.

Stub axels pop out w pry via screwdriver. Other than cleaning the seal area up, no need to change seals- its designed to allow stub axel changes all day without seal impact.
