the 2.79-3.07 units have a FAT cover vs the 3.15-4.45 (more common unit) with thin cover.


late and early style is the most common in 3.15-4.45 offset

thin cover takes 3-4 clutch discs without machining

thick one is 2.79-3.07

the overall is same, bearing is sunk on 2.79-3.07 LSD

hey! guess it is impossible to swap thin cover into 2.xx diff housing, to make 4 plate lsd, because the overall length would be too much? logically thinking it is, but just wanted to make sure, cause 25% locking for active drifting is really not enough :(
