    Flex disc attaches to the...Damper!!

I'm trying to figure out what the part it called that the flex disc attaches too. Mine is broken and needs replacement along with my shredded flex disc and driveshaft support.

    Thanks!

You are probably talking about the vibration damper. Do yourself a favour and ditch it. You don't need it.

That's the flex disc. He is refering to the part that this attaches to. I believe he talking about the vibration damper that goes in front of the guibo on some of the later cars.

anyway, to clear up any misunderstanding, here is a pic of it i took just a sceond ago, sorry i fell asleep after posting this.

I need a new one of these, the part is actually one piece, but the rubber has worn away and separateed the two!!

The only other part that I can think of is the part that the drive shaft bolts onto.. can't think of the name.

What happened to the pic because now I'm curious of what you're talking about.

Ritalin Kid, try right clicking where the image should be and use 'View Image' or something like that, the link is good, but the image won't show up i guess.
if i use a url, it just takes people back to r3v site.

arsevader, but i want my vibrations DAMPENED!! lol anyway, the way its attached, it would seem it's required.

Thanks again for all the input everyone.

I ditched the vibration damper when I replaced my driveshaft a few months ago. There was no increase in vibration at all plus it made it easier to get to the nuts and bolts there.

Those studs are knurled so they are gripping the flange holes. I'd use some penetrating oil and a big mallet to knock it off. Maybe hold what's left of the damper in a vice.
