    New rear rotor hub, do I need a new bearing?

    I am replacing my rear rotor hub and wanted to know if I needed a new bearing, sounds like its a PITA so If I dont need to I dont want to

    yes. you are almost guaranteed to destroy the bearing when removing the hub

      Why do you need a new rear hub? stripped threads?

      If you are replacing the hub, then you need to remove the bearing. You may as well replace it with a new one while you are at it. You risk damaging the bearing if you aren't paying attention to where the force is applied when pressing it out (if you only put force on the inner race for example)

        Nvm, bearing is still in really good shape. And I don't even want to say why I need to replace the rear rotor hub....

          Replace the bearing. Even if it looks good I promise you it's destroyed. I give it a month before it fails.

            At the least the bearing will be damaged when the hub is removed, if removal of the hub doesn't destroy it. You will need a new bearing.
