    Don't put ATF in the trans is it's originally a gear oil transmission.

    You can buy generic store brand 75w90 gear oil for about $4 a quart at auto parts stores. I personally am not a fan of MTL in the 260 transmission. If you were to use Redline, I would recommend the Redline 75w90 gear oil.

    The transmission has to come out if the input shaft seal is leaking. But the output shaft seal and selector seal can be changed with the transmission in the car.

    You can use ATF4 in the transmission. I don't think I'd want to mix that and MTL, but it works okay.

    Too cold for labor. I am not even sure where it is leaking from. I imagine there is more than one seal. Tranny would have to come out, right?
