Hey,
Not sure if this is normal (definitely not compared to my e46 and other bmws that I've driven), but my e30 shudders noticeably (I can feel almost feel the diff moving around) when I depress the clutch, usually on the 1-2 shift. I've noticed this since I first bought the car, when it was completely stock.
My setup:
The guibo and CSB have been recently changed by Ryan G. Powerflex subframe bushings in the back. Silence (r3v member) nylon engine mounts up front, with bimmerworld heavier duty rubber trans mounts.
The diff is a single ear medium case 4.10. The diff bushing is solid, looked to be in OK/fine shape when I put it in the car 2 years ago. Engine is a stock m20b25 so not putting out a huge amount of power.
Any ideas for the reason for the car's shuddering? Driveshaft maybe? Or should I look into a stiffer diff bushing?
Thanks.
