    4:10 diff question

    I have a 91 318is 5 speed its a 4:10 rear end and it dosent have a LSD. I have a buddy with a 3:73 LSD rear end and my question is if i buy my buddies can i put my 4:10 gear on his limited slip diff?

    It'll cost less and take less effort to find a 4.10 LSD.

          Slower as in accelerate slower, but will have a higher top speed.

                  So if my diff is a small case and i buy my friends medium case 3.73 and take the lsd out of it will it fit in my small case? Oh i will be taking my 4.10 gears off my diff and be putting them on the LSD. Will it work?

                        My 4D m42 w/S4.10 could hit the rev limiter in 5th on flat ground.

                        OP: PM twistednut, he's running a medium case S3.73 in his 318is and can give you good feedback so far as performance is concerned.
