    What Diff do I have???

    The tag on the diff reads:

    1441A5673S

    I know the S is for LSD and it came out of an 86 325e with a sport package (not an es). Nogt sure about that. Factory IS lip and LSD but not an es.

    I'm used to the ration being stamped on the tag.

    Can you guys help me out?????

      It's a Replacement diff. I forget the math involved in finding out the gearing but it's in the Bentley. Your car originally came with a 2.93 diff so that's what it should be.

          I was told it was a 2.93, but I was just confused by the tag number. How can you tell it was a replacement? Just because it's missing the ratio number?
