Does anyone know of solid ones? the oem rubber ones don't seem to last much. I was also considering going with a 1 piece driveshaft does anyone know where one can be purchased for a reasonable price?

they seem to work fine for most people - what kind of powerplant do you have? are you certain they were installed correctly? BMW parts or aftermarket? -
The OE Center Support Bearing is typically good for about 20 year and something in excess of 150k. Seems to me to be pretty decent life.
If you are experiencing early failure of the CSB the cause is probably binding u-joints in the drive shaft. Replace the drive shaft and CSB and you won't have to worry about for a long time.Last edited by jlevie; 04-30-2012, 09:34 AM.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

ive seen them installed backwards. and binding UJ's can play a big part on driveline issues.Comment
