    Window caulking the CSB?

So I'm replacing the csb in my E21 and a few people have told me that window caulking in the flexible areas of the csb would ensure a longer life of the csb (doesn't die when rubber fails) and would also give the drive train a more steady feel???
I can imagine how it could prolong the life of the csb itself but no other benefits can be made sense of....

    Any thoughts? Good or bad?

Works good for me, my csb has been torn for months now, but the caulking holds it together.

Until i get a solid drive shaft made, this temp fix actually works quite well.
