    Z3 (1.9) shift kit problem

so i put the shifter in today and noticed it has a lean to the passenger side not to the driver side or up right. but i have not put the the bend in the selector rod yet do to me not having my drivshaft in at this time (off getting balanced)
so i was wondering if anyone could tell me why this is happening or if when i bend the selector rod it will make the shifter not lean....

    thanks

    Doesn't the z3 1.9 already come with a bend?

Did you put it on backwards? The z3 lever does not have a side to side bend in it.

Z3 1.9 should be bent. Z3 2.8 and M should be straight but better IMO. I bent my Z3M.
