    bypassing the trans cooler

I have a '91 325i with a SETA motor that is currently attached to an automatic transmission. I just purchased a Mishimoto radiator for an e36 m3 for the larger core design and lifetime warranty (Including collisions!)

    My questions are:

The radiator I purchased only comes for the manual transmission, so obviously there is not a spot for the transmission cooler or lines. Can I just loop the lines until I do a 5-seed swap? How long would the trans last that way, or would it not last at all?

I really don't want to purchase and install an aftermarket trans cooler that I'm only going to use for a few weeks.

    Thanks ahead of time.

Why don't you just wait until you do the trans swap?

I would mount an aftermarket trans cooler, or wait until you swap the trans

The reason I didn't want to wait is this is my only car. I really meed it back on the road...yesterday.

You should have purchased the correct radiator?! Either that or wait until the 5 speed swap is done.

I didn't purchase the incorrect radiator on purpose, I ordered it through a shop. I'm just going to go pick up a cheap cooler from the parts store today as a temporary fix.

Out of curiosity, could I use a factory e30 oil cooler?
