    87 5 speed into 88

Hey everyone, I might be purchasing the parts I need for a 5 speed swap into my 88 325is from an 87 325i convertible that is being parted out locally. Although I am pretty sure on what is needed and stuff, I just wanted to ask the board a few things. Is the 87 considered an early model, therefore having a different Center Support Bearing? Also, I know there are plenty of lists of the parts needed fo the swap, but I was wondering which hoses and lines do I need and where do they come from? I'm sure there will be another thread by me later when I start the actual swap, but for now, I'm just acquiring parts and want to make sure I get them all.
    Thanks!

All of the parts from the 87 convertible will work. You will need to swap to a late model center support bearing but the rest will be exactly the same. Get the clutch master and slave along with the hard and soft lines for them. Get the pedals, shifter setup, and the driveshaft.

Alright, thanks. Would I be correct in assuming the lines are attached to the master and slave, so they should be easy to find, follow, and remove?

I should be picking up the transmission and all related parts this Friday! The person I'm buying them from says I'd be able to fit them in my trunk, but I'm not sure I want to risk that...

You can easily fit them in the trunk of an E30. The driveshaft even fits without separating the halves.

Well that's convenient! I was thinking I could take out the back seat and put cardboard and towels down so it might be a little easier, but I may just put it in the trunk, then!
