Do I need to rebalance the driveshaft?

Hey everyone, I just acquired a five speed swap for my car and when I got there, the PO had already had the driveshaft taken apart since someone bought the engine out of the car and removed the transmission while they were at it. From my understanding, if the driveshaft is separated and not marked for proper reattaching, I should get it rebalanced. Is this necessary, and how much would it cost to have this done?

    Thanks,
    Peter

You can use the drive shaft without having it rebalanced. If the marks are missing, assemble the two haves with the u-joints oriented the same way. If that results in vibration from under the car at speed, rotate one half of the drive shaft 180 degrees.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

There should be some small white dots denoting orientation. Mine were covered with grease and dirt and I thought that there were none until I cleaned the U-joint flanges.
