Need Help with Drive Shaft (pics Included)

For an e30 1990 325ix

Installing the rear drive shaft this weekend. I am a bit confused on one thing though. I kinda remember loosening something up but now that im looking at it there is no way I can reach something in their.
Does this tighten up? If so I cant get anything down their too....

Here is a pic straight on...




Now if im right I just tighten up the 4 bolts on the back to the drive shaft/diff.. And front goes to the output of the transfer case with the flex disc.

Is this correct?

You need the center support bearing in there too. Also there is a lock ring that should be loosened when put on and tightened when installed. This picture shows both. The lock ring is on the side that the splines go in to.

Remember my car is a ix. It doesnt have a support bearing. Its actually 1 piece. If you look at my pictures you will see the nut all the way down there. I think its suppose to be exposed or extend the driveshaft. I just cant make it happen.

Any suggestions on how or had this problem?
